[New product introduction for our online store] Color and Words Newsletter 2025 No. 12

"Cloths have one great purpose: to be used, cherished, and used as clothing and other things." Shimura Fukumi, "My Cloths"
When a bolt of fabric is transformed into a kimono, lovely little pieces are quietly born beside it. These are tiny fragments of life, the seeds of a story, quietly waiting to be touched by warm hands and hearts once again and given new life.
These treasured kosaki have now been meticulously handcrafted into new products: "kosaki sachets" and "kosaki jewelry fukusa." These kosaki pieces are encapsulated in a world small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. We hope you will take a look at them.

Jewelry wrapping cloth made from rags
The origin of the word "fukusa" is "fukusameru," which means to wrap something softly. It is the perfect size for wrapping jewelry, hair accessories, and other items that you take off and put on when you're out and about. Each and every one of these special jewelry fukusa is painstakingly handcrafted using natural dyed threads woven on a handloom.
