The experience platform Otonami featured the workshop plan "Weaving Your Own Obi - Experience the Artistic World of Shimura Fukumi," currently being held at Atelier Shimura Tokyo Setagaya, in its "Master Your Own Obi through Multiple Experiences" special feature .

In this plan, participants will be provided with a loom exclusively for them, and will weave their obi over a two-month period. You can choose a day that suits you within the period, so you can enjoy weaving at your own pace according to your own schedule.

During the 12 sessions, you will learn about dyeing with seasonal plants and Shimura's dyeing and weaving philosophy while creating your own work.
