Art Space Shimura will open in October 2020 as a venue for the next generation of artists and brands to present their work. It will be operated by Atelier Shimura, a dyeing and weaving brand that inherits the spirit of dyeing and weaving artist Fukumi Shimura.
The shop is conveniently located on the second floor of the Kotobuki Building in Shijo Kawaramachi, a building that attracts fashion-conscious people, including the fashion brand Mina Perhonen, Hobonichi Tobichi Kyoto, and the bookstore Merry-Go-Round.
We hope to build a new era together with those who are looking to work in the field of crafts.
