[Invitation to Amami Oshima Tour] -Three days to experience the coveted Oshima Tsumugi-

Oshima Tsumugi is one of the finest silk fabrics in Japan, born on Amami Oshima. It has a long history, with records from 734 in the offering books of Todaiji Temple and Shosoin Repository stating that "reddish-brown tsumugi (pongee) was presented from the southern islands." Oshima Tsumugi, which has been nurtured by the rich nature of Amami Oshima, is characterized by its extremely intricate kasuri (kasuri) pattern, unique color and luster achieved by mud dyeing, lightness, wrinkle resistance, and supple comfort, captivating many kimono fans.
