The threads that have been carefully dyed with colors from plants cannot be easily thrown away, even if they are just ends. In the workshop, the "connecting threads" made by connecting the ends of the threads have been passed down. When these threads are inserted into the weaving, the feelings of the people who connected the threads are connected to the present, and depth appears in the kimono. Some of the pencils are 40 or 50 years old, and were made by Ono Yutaka and Shimura Fukumi at the request of local farm women. They are hesitant to use them, but they are used carefully and with great care. When they are finished, the core that comes out is made of newspaper from that time. One of the pleasures is spreading out the faded pages and reading them.
