Atelier Shimura is currently running a series on "THE KYOTO," a platform that disseminates traditional culture and crafts from Kyoto, as well as useful tips for daily life.

This is the second part of the Wintergreen series. The lush wintergreen has turned pink. The branches of plum, cherry and peach trees also produce pink, but the pink of the wintergreen gives off a sense of strength that only a plant with green leaves can have all year round. Please come and see the dyeing process and the color of the wintergreen obiage that harmonizes with the kimono.
