Atelier Shimura is currently running a series on " THE KYOTO," a platform that disseminates information on traditional culture and crafts from Kyoto, as well as useful tips for daily life.
This is the second installment of the Sapphire series. Sapphire is a very vibrant color, so it can be difficult to come up with a color scheme when weaving it. This time, we used a warp thread of alternating sapphire and black threads with a weft thread of madder, onion, and indigo, creating a fabric with a single color surface. Please take a look.
