Atelier Shimura is currently running a series on "THE KYOTO," a platform that disseminates traditional culture and crafts from Kyoto, as well as useful tips for daily life.

This is the second installment of our green series. We dye yellow thread with indigo blue to make it green. The German literary scholar Goethe said that yellow is born from light, and blue is born from darkness, and that the mixture is green. Green may be the color of life, flickering between darkness and light, or between life and death . Please take a look at the moment when green appears.
