An article about Atelier Shimura was published in the January/February 2021 issue (p.7) of "enjoy kyoto," a free paper for overseas tourists.

Although this is an older issue, we would like to introduce it to you today in April, as it is cherry blossom season.

We have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to pair our kimono, "Sakurae," woven from threads dyed with cherry blossoms from all over Japan, with our collaborative obi, "Yuki no Me (Snow Buds)," from Atelier Shimura and Mina Perhonen. The obiage and obijime are also Atelier Shimura items. Cherry blossoms have been appreciated since the Heian period as a tree representative of spring in Japan. This kimono evokes the image of the gradation of colors of the thin, delicate petals fluttering in the air.
