Yew: An evergreen conifer that bears orange-red berries in early autumn. The dye made from the branches and leaves can be dyed a reddish grey, light brown, or copper-red. It was named after the rank of "shoichii" (first rank) because it was the material used to make scepters used by aristocrats.
