In September 2024, dyeing and weaving artist Fukumi Shimura will turn 100 years old. Through her two professions of dyeing and weaving and writing, she has spent her life pursuing the truth of art and the soul. The world that Fukumi has cherished will be exhibited in one space. This time, we will also be exhibiting for the first time the kimono "Fujiwara no Shiki" (The Four Seasons of Fujiwara), which appears in the essay "Fujiwara no Sakura" (The Cherry Blossoms of Fujiwara) in Fukumi Shimura's book " Iro wo Playing" (Playing Colors), as well as exhibiting and selling a newly created small "Cloth Folding Screen." Please come and visit Fukumi's room.
