In this special exhibition, we will be exhibiting and selling kobukusa, debukusa, sukiya bags, and kaishi cases made from textile pieces by dyeing and weaving artists Fukumi Shimura and Yoko Shimura. The rich colors of the plants will harmonize with and add color to your tea ceremony. We hope you will use these items not only for tea ceremonies, but also in various everyday situations. We also have new colors available, so please take this opportunity to come and see them.

Special talk event "Expression through color - Shimura's small cloth"
Yoko Shimura (dyeing and weaving artist) × Masashi Shimura (representative of Atelier Shimura)

Special talk events will be held in Kyoto and Tokyo in conjunction with the "Shimura Tea Accessories Exhibition." Dyeing and weaving artist Yoko Shimura and Atelier Shimura representative Masashi Shimura will talk together as a mother and daughter about the rich world of color. While looking at actual fabrics of tea accessories, they will delve deeply into the thoughts and creative process that went into the designs of the fabrics. They will also talk about the challenges they faced in the production process, and the unique world of color and philosophy that the Shimura family has nurtured. We look forward to your participation.
