Special talk event "The Tale of Genji - Unraveling the mysteries of color"
Junko Yamamoto (Researcher of Heian Literature) × Masashi Shimura (Director of Atelier Shimura)

We have invited Ms. Junko Yamamoto, a Heian literature researcher and author of many books about The Tale of Genji and its author Murasaki Shikibu, to speak, weaving in a perspective on color. The first half will be a lecture by Junko Yamamoto, and the second half will be a dialogue with Atelier Shimura's representative, Masashi Shimura, in which she will discuss the outlines of the first, second, and third parts of The Tale of Genji and the themes that Murasaki Shikibu incorporated, while also touching on the costumes and colors of the time.
