Atelier Shimura, which usually dyes silk thread, tried its hand at dyeing wool yarn in collaboration with Kesennuma Knitting. Kesennuma Knitting knitted yarn dyed by Atelier Shimura using indigo, madder, onion, loquat, and cherry blossoms according to Mariko Mikuni's design, resulting in the creation of a knitted piece called "mariko."
